Warcraft Inspired Dishes

There are over 350 unique foods in World of Warcraft (pre-wotlk), including 76 types of alcohol, 30+ kinds of bread, and 20+ different desserts/candy.

What I hope to accomplish is ongoing posts featuring a food item found in WoW. Everything can be made into a fabulously delicious, everyday meals that no one will know was inspired by WoW unless you tell them. ;)

Each post will include one or more of the following aspects:
How to Make from Scratch
Features detailed, but simplified recipes where the food is made from scratch.
How to Make Shortcut
Making a meal with some pre-prepared ingredients. Think cake mix & frosting from your favorite grocery store. :)
Using Foods in a Meal / Pairing the Food
Making Pumpernickel at home is uncommon, but what better to serve it with spinach dip or hummus? Ideas of how to pair foods; sometimes include related recipes - like making that spinach dip.
